Sandia Park, NM

Paa-Ko Ridge in Sandia Park, New Mexico, opened in 2000 and was designed by Ken Dye. It sits in the foothills east of Albuquerque at roughly 6,500 feet, in pinon and juniper high desert rather than low sonoran terrain. Elevation change drives the golf. Tee shots frequently play from a ridge down to a fairway well below, arroyos cut across several holes, and the greens are large with severe internal movement. Thin air adds distance, which the yardages already account for. The course is walkable in stretches but plays long across the property, and it is open to public play with views toward the Sandia Mountains from most holes.

Durango, CO

Dalton Ranch Golf Club is located in the Animas Valley just north of Durango, Colorado, on a former alfalfa field surrounded by the San Juan Mountains. The Animas River and connecting streams run along more than half the holes, and the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad passes by the property. The course was designed by Ken Dye and opened in July 1993. While the terrain is relatively flat compared with the surrounding mountains, the layout includes mounding and contoured lies that add variety to otherwise level ground. Dalton Ranch operates as a semi-private club with public tee times available alongside member play; the club includes a restaurant and banquet facilities. Water hazards affect play on a large majority of holes, making club selection and accuracy important.

Farmington, NM

Piñon Hills Golf Course is a municipal course in Farmington, New Mexico, in the Four Corners region. It opened in 1989 and was designed by architect Ken Dye on a 1,000-acre site, with only about 300 acres used for the routing. The par-72 course measures 7,198 yards from the back tees and moves across sandstone outcroppings, arroyos, and desert scrub, with several par-3 holes that require carries over ravines or play to multi-tiered greens. Roughly 100,000 cubic yards of earth were moved during construction, since Dye largely let the natural terrain shape the layout. Piñon Hills is owned by the city of Farmington and operates as a public course.

Fort Worth, TX

Hawks Creek Golf Club, in Westworth Village near Fort Worth, Texas, occupies the site of the historic Carswell Air Force Base golf course, which dates to the early 1920s. Architect John Colligan renovated the course around 2000, reopening it in 2002 under its current name, and it sits along the fence line of the Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, where military aircraft are often visible overhead. The course runs about 6,800 to 6,900 yards from the back tees, with mature trees, water in play on most holes and Mini Verde Bermuda greens following a bunker renovation. It is owned and operated as a public course by the City of Westworth Village, with a driving range and grill available to golfers.

Acworth, GA

Cobblestone Golf Course sits on the south shore of Lake Acworth in Acworth, Georgia, north of Atlanta. Seven holes run along the lake, and the layout is carved through wooded terrain on a peninsula with notable elevation changes and several sharp doglegs. The course was designed by Ken Dye of Finger Dye Spann and opened in 1993. It is owned by Cobb County and has operated as a public facility since opening, with a full renovation completed in 2010 and a clubhouse and practice-area expansion in 2021. Cobblestone is open to the public and is managed by Bobby Jones Links. Practice amenities include a driving range with hitting stations, a putting green, and PGA instruction along with junior and adult clinics.

Parachute, CO

Battlement Mesa Golf Club is a public golf course in Battlement Mesa, Colorado, along the Colorado River on the state's Western Slope. The course opened in 1987 and was designed by architects Joe Finger and Ken Dye, taking advantage of the river corridor and surrounding mountain views. The 18-hole, par-72 layout stretches over 7,000 yards from the back tees and includes a stretch of holes on the front nine known locally as “the gauntlet” for their length and difficulty. Elevation changes are present throughout, though most greens allow run-up shots. The course is open to public play and includes a clubhouse and practice green, with tee times available by phone or online booking.

Springfield, MO

Rivercut Golf Course is a municipal course southwest of Springfield, Missouri, bordering the James River and set among tree-lined meadows and rolling ground with several water features. It is one of three 18-hole courses operated by the Springfield-Greene County Park Board. The course was designed by architect Ken Dye and opened in 1998. Large, heavily contoured greens and multiple water hazards give the layout a championship feel while still serving as a everyday municipal facility for local golfers. Rivercut plays to about 7,066 yards from the back tees. Practice facilities include a driving range with grass and turf areas, two putting greens, and a chipping and bunker area. Tee times can be booked up to a week in advance, and the course stays open year round except on Christmas Day.

Steamboat Springs, CO

Rollingstone Ranch Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones II, opened in 1974. The course is in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and offers views of the Yampa Valley. Fish Creek winds through seven of its 18 holes."

El Paso, TX

Underwood Golf Complex, officially the George V. Underwood Jr. Golf Complex, is a military golf facility on Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. The Sunrise course was designed by architect Ken Dye and opened in 1995, playing to a par 72 across nearly 6,942 yards from the back tees. The complex also includes the separate Sunset course, giving the facility two full 18 hole layouts, plus a lighted driving range and two practice putting greens. Sunrise uses desert style landscaping with bermuda fairways and bent grass greens, along with water hazards and bunkers spread across the property. Golf carts and a computerized handicap service are available on site. As a military course, access is primarily for service members, their families and authorized guests rather than the general public. The complex has operated for decades as a recreational amenity for the Fort Bliss community.
