Apple Mountain Golf Resort

Camino, CA

Apple Mountain Golf Resort is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills near Camino, California, in the Apple Hill and Gold Country region east of Sacramento. The course is carved through stands of pine, cedar, and madrone, with views of snow-capped mountains in season. The course was designed by architect Algie M. Pulley Jr. and opened in 1997. It plays through rolling, forested terrain with a mix of open and tree-lined holes typical of the Sierra foothills. Apple Mountain is open to the public and operates year-round, weather permitting. Practice facilities include a driving range and putting green, and an on-site restaurant, the Apple Mountain Grille, serves golfers before and after their rounds. In 2026, ownership of the resort transferred to Acorn Enterprises, an entity of the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians.

The Links at Madison Green

West Palm Beach, FL

The Links at Madison Green is an 18-hole public course in West Palm Beach, Florida, about 20 minutes from downtown and Palm Beach International Airport. Designed by John Sanford and opened in 2001, the par-72 layout stretches over 7,000 yards from the back tees. Water comes into play on nearly every hole, with more than 40 acres of lakes woven through the property alongside over 100 bunkers and waste areas. The greens are Tif-Eagle Bermuda, quick and contoured, rewarding precise putting. Five sets of tees accommodate players of different abilities, and none of the fairways run parallel to each other. The course has hosted U.S. Amateur and Florida State Amateur qualifying events. Practice facilities include a driving range, a chipping green with bunkers, and putting areas. The clubhouse holds a pro shop, locker rooms, and the MarBar Grille for food and drinks indoors and on the patio.
