About this course

Apple Mountain Golf Resort is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills near Camino, California, in the Apple Hill and Gold Country region east of Sacramento. The course is carved through stands of pine, cedar, and madrone, with views of snow-capped mountains in season.

The course was designed by architect Algie M. Pulley Jr. and opened in 1997. It plays through rolling, forested terrain with a mix of open and tree-lined holes typical of the Sierra foothills.

Apple Mountain is open to the public and operates year-round, weather permitting. Practice facilities include a driving range and putting green, and an on-site restaurant, the Apple Mountain Grille, serves golfers before and after their rounds. In 2026, ownership of the resort transferred to Acorn Enterprises, an entity of the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians.
