Ohio State University Golf Club (Gray)

Columbus, OH

The Gray Course is one of two 18-hole courses at the Ohio State University Golf Club in Columbus, alongside the Scarlet Course. Both were designed by Dr. Alister MacKenzie, whose routing plans were submitted to athletic director L. W. St. John in 1931, with Perry Maxwell also contributing to the design. The Gray Course opened in the early 1930s and serves the university's golf programs and students. It is often overshadowed by the tournament-hosting Scarlet Course despite sharing the same architectural pedigree.

Golf Club of Dublin

Dublin, OH

Golf Club of Dublin is set in the Ballantrae neighborhood of Dublin, Ohio, and is built in a links style with fescue turf, stacked stone walls, and dozens of hand-stacked sod-face bunkers. Water detention areas come into play on nearly every hole across the open, wind-exposed layout. The course was designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry and opened in 2002 as the centerpiece of the Ballantrae residential community, with a Tudor-style clubhouse echoing the course's Irish theme. The club operates as semi-private, open to the public with membership options also available. Dennis Highlands Golf Course

Dennis, MA

Dennis Highlands Golf Course occupies 175 acres of pine and oak covered rolling ground on the north side of Dennis, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod. It opened in 1984, designed by Jack Kidwell and Michael Hurdzan, and is owned and operated by the Town of Dennis alongside its sister course, Dennis Pines. The par-71 layout plays from 4,884 to 6,509 yards across four sets of tees. Bunkering was renovated in later years by architect Robert McNeil of The Northeast Golf Company, along with tee and cart path improvements. The course is open to public play year round, weather permitting, and includes a grass driving range, practice green, cart rentals and a pro shop. The Bunker Bar restaurant sits alongside the course, and the two municipal courses together host roughly 90,000 rounds a year.

Punderson State Park Golf Course

Newbury, OH

Punderson State Park Golf Course is a public course within Punderson State Park in Newbury, Ohio, roughly 50 minutes southeast of Cleveland, adjacent to the historic Punderson Manor Lodge, an English Tudor-style building. The 18-hole course was designed by Jack Kidwell and opened in 1969. The layout runs about 6,800 to 6,941 yards depending on tee markers, at a par of 72, over rolling terrain with bentgrass fairways and greens; the par-3 eighth hole, with a narrow wooded downhill fairway and a pond guarding the green, is considered the signature hole. Frances E. Miller Memorial Golf Course

Murray, KY

Frances E. Miller Memorial Golf Course is an 18-hole public course in Murray, Kentucky, owned by Murray State University and located about six miles from campus. It was designed by Jack Kidwell and Mike Hurdzan and has served as the home course for Murray State's golf teams since 1983. The par-71 layout measures 6,592 yards from the championship tees, with an outward nine set on hilly, tree-lined terrain that rewards accuracy and an inward nine that favors length and long-iron play. Greens are Bermuda ultradwarf grass surrounded by about 50 bunkers, with three water hazards in play. The 175-acre property was donated to the university, and the course is named for Frances Emerson Miller. Practice facilities include large putting greens and a driving range, and the course is open to the public in addition to university use.
