Brickshire Golf Club
Providence Forge, VA
Brickshire Golf Club is a semi-private, 18-hole course in Providence Forge, Virginia, about 28 miles east of Richmond in New Kent County. It was designed by Tom Clark of Ault, Clark & Associates with design input from Virginia native and two-time U.S. Open winner Curtis Strange, opening in 2001. The par-72 course features dramatic elevation changes, sidehill lies and native wetlands, along with four holes patterned after famous holes elsewhere, including versions of Augusta National's third, Pinehurst No. 2's eleventh, St. Andrews' fourteenth, and Riviera's tenth. Six sets of tees stretch the course from around 4,900 to over 7,200 yards. The club includes a full-service clubhouse with a bar and grille and hosts player development and junior golf programs. It operates on a semi-private basis, welcoming outside play alongside its membership.
