Sun Hills Golf Course is located in East Layton, Utah, near the base of the Wasatch Mountains and adjacent to Hill Air Force Base. The privately owned course opened in the mid-1990s and was designed by Bruce Summerhays as a links-style layout built around the area's natural rolling hills. The course plays roughly 6,550 yards from the back tees and about 6,000 yards from the middle tees, with just a few lakes coming into play across the round. Its setting offers wide views of the surrounding Wasatch foothills, occasionally interrupted by aircraft from the nearby air base. Although privately owned, Sun Hills is open to public play with daily tee times, a driving range, and both indoor and outdoor practice facilities, including a golf simulator available during winter months.
