Willow Creek Golf Course
Greer, SC
Willow Creek Golf Club is located in Greer, South Carolina, part of a residential community built south of town along Highway 101. Developer plans for Willow Creek were announced in 1993, with architect Tom Jackson of Taylors, South Carolina engaged to design the course; it opened the following year as an 18-hole layout, with construction handled by Woody Morgan and Ed Phillips. Jackson's design draws on the property's natural terrain to give the course an older, traditional feel despite being a comparatively recent build. The club operates as a public facility today, with a pro shop and clubhouse serving members and visiting golfers, and it emphasizes a casual, social atmosphere for players of varying skill levels.
Greer Golf & Country Club
Greer, SC
Greer Golf and Country Club opened as nine holes in 1955 on a former peach orchard and grew to 18 in 1965. The City of Greer bought it in 2020 and now runs it as a public course. The greens were converted to Diamond Zoysia in 2015, which added putting surface. The city has since renovated the clubhouse and put new Bermuda on the back nine fairways and tees. It is open to the public, about halfway between Greenville and Spartanburg.
