Courses in Columbia
Fort Jackson Golf Club
Columbia, SC
Fort Jackson Golf Club is a 36-hole military golf facility on the Fort Jackson Army post outside Columbia, and it is open to the public. The original 18 holes were designed by George Cobb and opened in 1949; in 1991 Arthur L. Davis added 20 new holes to 16 of the originals to create today's two championship courses, the Wildcat and Old Hickory. The Wildcat plays to 6,721 yards through rolling sand hills and pines, with a view of the Columbia skyline from the 17th tee. The shorter Old Hickory is routed over lakes and wetlands and rewards accurate tee shots.

LinRick Golf Course
Columbia, SC
LinRick Golf Course is Richland County's municipal course in Columbia, a Russell Breeden design opened in 1972. The hilly par-73 layout plays to about 6,960 yards from the back tees, with water in play on five holes, wooded terrain and mounded, midsize greens. The final five holes are among the most challenging in the Columbia area, closing with a double-dogleg par 5 at the 16th that rarely gives up a birdie.
