Wernersville, PA

Galen Hall Country Club in Wernersville, Pennsylvania, traces its origins to 1912, when Scottish architect Alex Findlay laid out the original nine holes. A. W. Tillinghast later expanded and reshaped the course, and William and David Gordon also contributed design work over the club's history. The semi-private, 18-hole course is noted for what is billed as America's first island green. Its century-plus history and modest, old-school character have made it a notable example of early twentieth-century American course design.
