Fort Johnson, NY

Antlers Country Club sits along the Mohawk River in Fort Johnson, New York, about five miles west of Amsterdam. The club's own history dates the course to a 1900 design by architect William H. Tucker; other course directories list a 1928 opening for the layout, so the exact founding date is not fully settled between sources. Today the club describes itself as open to both public play and membership, offering tee times without requiring a member sponsor. The course runs across terrain overlooking the river, giving several holes water views alongside the rural Mohawk Valley scenery. Onsite amenities include a full-service restaurant and bar that hosts daily specials and events. Rates are tiered by weekday, weekend, senior and twilight play, and the club draws both local golfers and visitors passing through the area.
