The name honors Joseph Morgan, the town's first settler in 1792. The 18-hole public course opened in 1961 and plays to par 72 and about 6,659 yards from the blue tees. The front nine is tight with water on several holes, while the back can play long. The pro shop doubles as RockBottomGolf.com's first retail store, and the practice grounds are among the larger ones near Rochester.
