Built in 2006, the Ledges Golf Club is a 7,200-yard par 72 golf course designed by Matt Dye, nephew of legendary course designer Pete Dye. The Ledges was an early crown jewel of Southern Utah’s golf resorts, with a private club feel despite being open to public play. Now, almost 20 years later, it is still well maintained and enjoyed by locals and visitors.

Black Desert Golf Course in Ivins, Utah, opened in 2023 and was the final design of Tom Weiskopf, completed after his death by his longtime design partner Phil Smith. The course is routed through a black lava flow at the edge of Snow Canyon, and the contrast between the dark rock, the green turf and the red sandstone cliffs behind it is the defining visual of the place. Rather than clear the lava, the design works around it. Fairways thread between rock fields, several tee shots carry over them, and a ball in the lava is unplayable. The greens are large with soft internal movement, and the elevation change across the property is significant. Black Desert hosted a PGA Tour event in October 2024 and an LPGA Tour event in 2025, and it is open to the public alongside the resort at the site.

Dixie Red Hills Golf Course is a 9-hole, par-34 public course owned by the City of St. George, Utah. Opened July 4, 1965 as the first golf course in Washington County, it was the city's original municipal course before Southgate and other layouts followed. The course winds through red sandstone cliffs and boulders, with mature cottonwoods, pines and mesquite providing shade in the desert heat. Holes 1, 3 and 6 are noted for play around and over rock outcrops, including a boulder guarding the first green. A new clubhouse replaced the original 1967 building in 2018-2019.
