About this course

Wilson Lake Country Club is a nine-hole semi-private course on the shore of Wilson Lake in Wilton, Maine, in the state's western foothills. The layout was designed by architect Wayne Stiles in the early 1930s and opened on August 6, 1932, retaining much of its original character.

LPGA player Patty Berg played an exhibition here in 1946 and set the women's course record. The club welcomes public play alongside members, with tee times bookable online and cart rentals available by the seat for nine or eighteen holes.

Harold Alfond, founder of the Dexter Shoe Company, commissioned British architect Clive Clark to design the course, which opened in 1998. The layout covers high ground with heavy elevation change, white granite outcroppings, old-style cross bunkering and several water hazards. The clubhouse and first tee sit at the property's high point, overlooking Long Pond and Great Pond. The 9th and 18th holes share a large, undulating double green. The course is open to public play.

Diadema Golf Club

Diadema Golf Club is a 9-hole course on Route 16 in North Anson, Maine, about 40 minutes from Sugarloaf Mountain. It uses ten greens so that a round can be played as 18 holes with varying tee placements, over roughly 5,800 yards from the back markers. The layout is carved through pine woods in central Maine and, despite its modest length, requires course management on most holes because of tightly placed hazards and greens. Diadema is open to the public and includes a practice area with bunkers and mounds, a driving range, a putting green and a pro shop. It is a member club of the Maine State Golf Association.

The semi-private, 18-hole course is open to both members and the public and has hosted the Maine Amateur Championship more than ten times.
