About this course

The Links Course at Wild Dunes opened in 1980 on the northeastern tip of the Isle of Palms and was the first solo commission for architect Tom Fazio. The routing moves through natural dunes, marsh and maritime forest before finishing along the Atlantic Ocean. From the back tees the par-72 course plays 6,722 yards with a course rating of 72.7 and a slope of 131. Bermuda grass covers the fairways and greens. Wind off the ocean and dune-set greens supply most of the course's difficulty despite its modest length. It is one of the two 18-hole courses at Wild Dunes Resort, alongside the Harbor Course.

The Harbor Course is the second Tom Fazio design at Wild Dunes Resort on Isle of Palms, opened in 1985 along the Intracoastal Waterway and Morgan Creek. The par-70 layout plays to about 6,359 yards with huge hazards, man-made dunes and six par 3s. Hurricane Hugo severely damaged the course in 1989, and in November 2025 it reopened after a 9.5 million dollar, six-month restoration that returned it to Fazio's original design with new greens, tees and irrigation.

Charleston National Golf Club is a semi-private course in Mount Pleasant, less than 10 miles from downtown Charleston. Designed by Rees Jones with Greg Muirhead and opened in 1989, it is the only Rees Jones design in the Charleston area open to public play. The par-72 layout stretches past 7,100 yards from the tips, carved out of Lowcountry marshland along the Intracoastal Waterway, with the finishing holes set along open marsh. It was originally built as an exclusive private club in the manner of Augusta National before opening to outside play.
