About this course
White Pine National Golf Resort is an 18-hole public course in Spruce, in northeast Michigan near Hubbard Lake, designed by Bruce and Clem Wolfrom on more than 400 acres of pine and hardwood forest. The design disturbs the land as little as possible, with greens set into natural terrain, and there are no water holes. The challenge comes from hole length, bunker placement and green size. It has been recognized by Audubon International for environmental management. The course is open from spring through mid-November and welcomes public play, with a pro shop and practice facilities on site.

Oscoda, MI · 20 mi away
The Gailes is one of three courses at Lakewood Shores Golf Resort in Oscoda, Michigan, near Lake Huron's Cedar Lake. Designed by Kevin Aldridge and opened in 1992, it recreates the look of Scotland's seaside links courses, with large double greens, meandering burns, sod-faced pot bunkers and tall fescue grass. It plays to a par of 72 and 6,954 yards from the championship tees. Golf Digest named it the Best New Resort Course in the United States in 1993. The course is open to the public, with golf packages and on-site lodging available through the resort.

Lakewood Shores Resort - Blackshire
Oscoda, MI · 20 mi away
Blackshire is the newest of three courses at Lakewood Shores Golf Resort in Oscoda, Michigan. Kevin Aldridge designed the course, which opened in 2001 on less than 200 acres, drawing inspiration from Pine Valley Golf Club's rugged character without replicating it. It plays to a par of 72 and 6,898 yards from the back tees, with hardwoods, large sand waste areas and undulating greens throughout. Short walks between greens and tees give it an old-style feel suited to walking. The course sits a couple of miles from the resort's main clubhouse in a more secluded setting. It is open to the public and part of the resort's stay-and-play packages.

Monarch operates as a public resort course, available to lodge guests and outside visitors alike. Garland's practice facilities include a large driving range, putting greens, and chipping areas shared across its courses, with play generally available through the spring, summer, and fall season.
