About this course
Valley Hi Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 municipal course in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with views of Pikes Peak and Cheyenne Mountain. It was built in 1956 as a private club and purchased by the city in 1975, and it now operates as public daily-fee golf.
The layout is generally flat and walkable, with a modest number of bunkers and lakes providing the main challenges, making it accessible to golfers of varying skill levels. A four-hole short course supplements the main 18 for practice and beginners.
Valley Hi serves as the home course for the local chapter of First Tee, a youth golf and life-skills program, and includes a practice range, putting green and a clubhouse restaurant open year-round.

Patty Jewett Golf Course
Colorado Springs, CO · 3.0 mi away
Patty Jewett Golf Course occupies a site on the north side of Colorado Springs, with views of Pikes Peak and mature trees lining its entrance drive. The property has been in continuous use as a golf course since 1898, making it one of the oldest operating courses west of the Mississippi River. The course began as a private club before William K. Jewett deeded it to the city of Colorado Springs in 1919 in memory of his late wife, Patty. His only conditions were that it remain open to the public and welcome anyone over the age of ten. The property has since grown to 27 holes. Owned and operated by the city, Patty Jewett is open to all golfers. The 18-hole course plays to a par of 72, and a separate 9-hole course is also available. Amenities include a full-service golf shop, a practice range with putting green and short-game area, and an on-site restaurant.
Broadmoor Golf Club - East Course
Colorado Springs, CO · 4.8 mi away
The East Course at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs opened in 1918 as a Donald Ross design, built into the foothills of Cheyenne Mountain at about 6,200 feet. Robert Trent Jones Sr. later reworked and expanded the club's golf, and the East retains Ross bones with Jones-era changes. Altitude and slope define the golf. The ball carries farther than at sea level, and putts break toward the plains no matter how the green looks, which is the local advice every visitor is given. Greens are firm and the routing climbs and falls with the mountain. The course hosted the 1959 U.S. Amateur, won by Jack Nicklaus, the 1995 and 2011 U.S. Women's Opens, and the U.S. Senior Open in 2008 and 2018. Play is available to resort guests.
Broadmoor Golf Club - West Course
Colorado Springs, CO · 4.8 mi away
The Broadmoor Golf Club's original course, now part of its West Course routing, was designed by Donald Ross in 1916 at the base of Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado Springs, commissioned by resort founder Spencer Penrose. It later saw work from Robert Trent Jones Sr. as the Broadmoor's golf offerings expanded to 36 and then 54 holes. The mountain setting brings significant elevation and thin-air conditions into play across the layout. The West Course is part of the Broadmoor resort complex, accessible to members and hotel guests.
