About this course

The Rookery Golf Club is an 18-hole public course in Milton, Delaware, on the Delmarva peninsula a short drive from the Lewes and Rehoboth Beach area.

The course opened in August 2000 and was designed by 2004 Senior British Open champion Pete Oakley along with golf course superintendent Chris Adkins. It is set between rolling mounds on one side and a heron rookery on the other, with bentgrass tees, fairways and greens.

The course is open to public play and also offers memberships to area residents, along with a clubhouse restaurant called The Heron.
