About this course
The Links Course at Lawsonia is an 18-hole public golf course in Green Lake, Wisconsin, built in 1930 by architects William Langford and Theodore Moreau and still largely unchanged from their original design. It has a wide-open, Scottish-style look with deep fairway bunkers and large elevated greens.
A 2000 restoration under architect Ron Forse removed about 150 trees, returning the course to its mostly treeless character, which lets the wind play a bigger role. The Links sits on the historic grounds of the Green Lake Conference Center in Green Lake.

The Woodlands operates as part of the Green Lake Conference Center's golf facilities.
Lawsonia Golf Club - Links
Green Lake, WI · 2.5 mi away
The Links Course at Lawsonia in Green Lake, Wisconsin, opened in 1930 and was designed by William Langford and Theodore Moreau. It is one of the clearest surviving examples of their style, and very little about it has been softened in the decades since. The greens are the reason golfers travel for it. Nearly all of them are pushed up well above the surrounding ground, squared off at the edges, and framed by deep, steep-faced bunkering, so a shot that misses the surface falls a long way down. The seventh green is the most famous, built on top of what local lore says is a buried railroad boxcar, which makes for one of the most severe targets in American golf. The property is open and rolling with wide fairways and long views over Green Lake. It is a daily-fee course, walkable, and sits alongside the club's later Woodlands course.
Mascoutin Golf Club
Berlin, WI · 8.3 mi away
Mascoutin Golf Club sits on County Trunk A outside Berlin, Wisconsin, a short drive from Green Lake and the Fox Valley. The club operates three nine-hole loops, Red, White and Blue, that combine into 27 holes of daily-fee golf. The grounds accommodate golfers of varying skill through junior, senior and family rates, and the pro shop rents clubs for those without their own set. A pub and grill on site serves food during league nights, and men's and ladies' leagues run through the season. Tee times can be booked online or by phone ahead of a visit.
