About this course

The Golf Club at Red Rock plays through the Black Hills outside Rapid City, South Dakota. Ron Farris designed the 18-hole par 72, which opened in 2003 and runs to about 6,970 yards from the back tees. Red sandstone outcrops give the course its name and frame several holes, with ponderosa pine stands between the corridors and elevation change through most of the routing. At Black Hills altitude the ball carries noticeably farther than the yardage suggests. The course is open to public play and sits within easy reach of Mount Rushmore.
