About this course
Rocky Knolls Golf Club is a scenic mountain course located just west of downtown Custer in the Southern Black Hills. Opened in 1965, the nine hole layout utilizes the natural landscape of rock outcroppings and mature Ponderosa Pines. The course demands precision off the tee as the fairways are relatively narrow and lined with trees. The par 36 design measures 3,102 yards from the blue tees and features significant elevation changes including a par three eighth hole that drops 40 feet from tee to green. The facility operates seasonally from April through October and includes a clubhouse with a pro shop and a full service bar and grill.
