About this course

The Championship Course at Tanglewood Park is an 18-hole, par-70 public course in Clemmons, North Carolina, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and opened in 1958. It hosted the 1974 PGA Championship and the 1986 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship, along with the Vantage Championship from 1988 to 2002.

The course sits on rolling, wooded terrain along the Yadkin River and is guarded by roughly 78 bunkers spread across its holes. A 2018 renovation led by Robert Trent Jones II updated bunkers, tees, and greens while preserving the elder Jones's original design philosophy.

Operated by Forsyth County Parks and Recreation, Tanglewood offers public tee times, along with a companion 18-hole Reynolds course and a par-3 course on the same property.
