About this course
South Grove Golf Course is a historic 18-hole facility built in 1902 and located just two miles from downtown Indianapolis. Designed by Harry Schopp, the course features tight tree-lined fairways and views of the city skyline. It has long been a venue for major amateur tournaments and features a layout with elevated plateaus for greens and tees. While it has been an accessible municipal course for over a century, the city has scheduled the site for eventual closure as part of a park redevelopment plan.

Brickyard Crossing Golf Course
Indianapolis, IN · 2.3 mi away
Brickyard Crossing Golf Course sits at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, Indiana. Pete Dye redesigned the existing Speedway course and it reopened in 1993 as an 18-hole par 72 of about 7,047 yards. Four holes sit inside the Speedway oval itself, reached through a tunnel under the track, which makes the setting unlike any other course in the country. Dye's work is visible in the mounding, the railroad-tie and waste bunkering and the greens set above the fairway line. Little Eagle Creek runs through the outer holes. The course hosted a Champions Tour event for several years and is open to public play.
Eagle Creek Golf Club
Indianapolis, IN · 5.7 mi away
Eagle Creek Golf Club is a 36-hole public facility in Indianapolis, Indiana, located within Eagle Creek Park, a large natural area about ten minutes from downtown. The property was established in 1962 and today includes two 18-hole courses, the Pines and the Sycamore, both designed by Pete Dye. The Pines Course mixes a long, difficult front nine with a friendlier back nine, while the Sycamore Course blends hilly terrain, tree-lined fairways and water holes with a links-style character. The original routing at Eagle Creek hosted the 1982 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship. The Sycamore Course plays to a par of 72 at roughly 6,646 yards from the back tees. Eagle Creek is operated as part of the Indy Parks and Recreation system and is open to public play, with tee times required on weekends and recommended on weekdays. The facility includes a driving range, pro shop and clubhouse.
