About this course
The Craddock Course is one of two reversible 18-hole layouts at Silvies Valley Ranch, a working ranch in eastern Oregon near Seneca, at roughly 5,000 feet of elevation. The course runs along ridges overlooking the valley, with more than a hundred bunkers but no water hazards.
The course was designed by Dan Hixson, who also built the companion Hankins course; the routing direction is reversed daily, so shared greens produce different rounds depending on the day. The project took about eight years to complete after ranch owner Scott Campbell brought in Hixson.
Silvies Valley Ranch operates as a resort destination with lodging on site, and golf access is tied to staying at or visiting the ranch. Significant elevation changes and the high-desert altitude are practical considerations for visiting golfers.
