About this course

Silver Lake Country Club's North Course is part of a 45-hole daily-fee golf facility in Orland Park, Illinois, owned and operated by the Coghill family since the 1930s. The Coghills, who also founded nearby Cog Hill Golf & Country Club, have run Silver Lake as a family business for close to a century. The club's layouts have hosted golfers from the southwest Chicago suburbs since long before Orland Park's rapid growth. Silver Lake remains a public course open for daily play.

Ruffled Feathers Golf Club

Lemont, IL · 7.4 mi away

Ruffled Feathers Golf Club is located in Lemont, Illinois, a southwest suburb of Chicago, on land assembled from several former farm plots. The course sits within a residential development in the same corridor as other area golf courses. Designed by Pete Dye and his son P.B. Dye, the course opened in 1992. It was originally conceived as a private club with a high-end membership fee, but a recession-era shift led it to operate as a public daily-fee course instead. The layout is known for dramatic Dye-style bunkering, water features, and a peninsula green at the par-3 11th. The course is open to the public and includes a full practice facility. It plays to a par of 72, with a longest yardage of roughly 6,898 yards, and remains the only Pete Dye design in the Chicago area.
