About this course
Rockport Golf Club occupies a hilltop site at the tip of Cape Ann in Rockport, Massachusetts, with clubhouse views of Sandy Bay and the town's Twin Lights.
The nine-hole course was laid out by Essex County professional Eugene Wogan on former farmland and formally opened to the public in 1915. The club struggled financially during the Depression before being reorganized and renamed Rockport Golf Club in the 1930s.
Today it operates as a semi-private club with a long-tenured head professional on staff, and it is known locally for the quality of its fairways and greens.

Cape Ann Golf Club occupies a coastal site above the salt marshes along the Essex Coastal Scenic Byway in Essex, Massachusetts, with views toward the Essex River and Crane Beach. The nine-hole course was designed by Eugene 'Skip' Wogan, a protege of Donald Ross, and opened for play in 1931. Owned and operated by the Stavros family since its founding, the course has been gradually updated with new bunkers, tee boxes and an irrigation pond while keeping its original character intact. Olde Salem Greens
Beverly, MA · 15 mi away
Olde Salem Greens is a nine-hole municipal course set within Highland Park in Salem, Massachusetts, about 20 miles northeast of Boston (the course is sometimes listed under nearby Beverly). Built in 1933 as a WPA project, it was designed by Wayne Stiles, who also laid out Taconic Golf Club and other well-known New England public courses. The course follows the natural, rocky terrain of Highland Park with rolling ground, blind shots, and small, varied greens typical of early 20th-century minimalist design. Played from its standard tees it measures 2,847 yards at a par of 35 for nine holes. Owned and operated by the City of Salem, Olde Salem Greens is public, requires a collared shirt and soft spikes, and allows tee-time booking up to six days ahead for the general public.
