About this course
Canyon is a nine-hole course at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Cambrian Ridge in Greenville, Alabama, and pairs with the Sherling nine for the site's main 18. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. with Roger Rulewich leading the work.
Cambrian Ridge opened in October 1993 as the sixth site on the Trail, developed by the Retirement Systems of Alabama, and the Canyon nine was rebuilt in a project completed in 2016. Cut from former hunting land, it holds some of the most extreme elevation change on the Trail. Golf Digest named Cambrian Ridge the third-best new public course in America in 1994.
