The Member Course at The Golf Club of Houston is a Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy co-design. It was originally a George Fazio design from 1964, then redesigned in 2002 as part of Redstone Golf Club. The course hosted the Shell Houston Open in 2003, 2004, and 2005. Escalante Golf acquired it in 2013 and renamed it The Golf Club of Houston. This par-72 course measures 7,508 yards. It features native wetland flora and fauna, strategic bunkering, and manicured fairways and greens. The 8th hole, a 475-yard par 4, is the signature hole and most demanding challenge. PGA TOUR professionals have praised the course's conditions and challenging layout.

Tour 18 Golf Club in Humble, Texas, just northeast of Houston, is a public course built around replicas of famous holes from well-known American golf courses. It opened in 1992 and was designed by Dave Edsall. Each hole is modeled on a hole from a recognizable course, including versions of holes from Pebble Beach, Pinehurst, Sea Pines, and Augusta National's Amen Corner stretch, giving the round a varied character from tee to tee. A lawsuit in the 1990s over some of the replicated designs led to modifications of a few holes, but the course continues to operate under the Tour 18 concept. The course is open to the public daily and includes a driving range, putting green, pro shop, and grill. It plays to a par of 72 at just under 6,800 yards from the back tees.

Cypresswood Golf Club is a 36-hole public complex in Spring, Texas, north of Houston, sited along the confluence of Spring and Cypress creeks. The Cypress Course, one of its two original 18s, opened in 1988 and was designed by Robert von Hagge with Bruce Devlin, threading tree-lined fairways through pines and hardwoods with water in play on many holes. The facility is daily-fee public and also includes a separate Tradition Course designed by Keith Foster.
