Redlands Mesa Golf Course

About this course

Redlands Mesa in Grand Junction, Colorado, opened in 2001 and was designed by Jim Engh. The course is built into red rock benches below the Colorado National Monument, with the Book Cliffs visible on the other side of the valley.

Engh's habits are all here: fairways bowled to gather shots toward the middle, muscle bunkers cut into the hillsides, and greens set in natural amphitheaters. Holes drop sharply from tee to fairway, and the desert rock walls sit directly against several playing corridors.

It is a public course and plays as a par 72, with red sandstone and juniper framing almost every shot.
