About this course
Pointe Royale Golf Course is set among the rolling Ozark hills in Branson, Missouri, within a condominium community along Lake Taneycomo. Mature trees and rolling terrain give the course a wooded, hilly character typical of the area.
The course was designed by Ault-Clark and Associates and opened in 1986, and it is generally regarded as the first championship-style course built in the Branson area.
Bermuda fairways and bentgrass greens make up the eighteen-hole layout, which plays about 6,515 yards from the back tees at a par of 70. Water comes into play on a majority of holes, and the course is open to public play with cart rental, a pro shop and a restaurant on site.

Top of the Rock Golf Course
Ridgedale, MO · 1.6 mi away
Top of the Rock is a nine-hole, par-3 Jack Nicklaus design set high above Table Rock Lake at Big Cedar Lodge. The compact routing moves among exposed limestone, waterfalls, lakes and Ozark views, with several holes stretching beyond the pitch-and-putt range. It became the first par-3 course used in a PGA Tour Champions event. Buffalo Bar sits below Osage Restaurant at Top of the Rock and opens onto a patio with Ozark Mountain views. Drinks, firelight and the seasonal sunset ceremony give it a theatrical finish to a round, while Osage and Arnie's Barn provide full-meal alternatives nearby.
Ozarks National Golf Course
Ridgedale, MO · 1.6 mi away
Ozarks National at Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Missouri, is a Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw design that opened for play in November 2018. It sits on high Ozark ground above Table Rock Lake, with long views across the ridgelines. The course uses the natural fall of the land instead of fighting it, so tee shots often play from a high point to a fairway well below. Fairways are wide, the short grass runs into the bunker edges and greens, and recovery from a missed line is usually possible on the ground. It plays to a par of 71. It is a walkable design open to resort guests and public play, and the routing takes the same rolling terrain the resort's other courses share.
Thousand Hills Golf Resort
Branson, MO · 2.6 mi away
Thousand Hills Golf Resort is an 18-hole public golf course in the heart of Branson, Missouri, two blocks off the 76 Music Boulevard strip. The layout winds through Ozark hardwood forests and past rock formations and streams, close to Lake Taneycomo and Table Rock Lake. The course was designed by architect Robert E. Cupp with Michael Riley as course architect and opened to the public on April 1, 1995. Zoysia grass fairways and tees are paired with bentgrass greens across a routing built into the Ozark terrain. Thousand Hills is part of a larger resort with condominiums and a hotel, but the course itself is open to the public daily. There is no on-site driving range, though practice greens and a pro shop are available. Tee times can be booked up to 30 days in advance.
