About this course

The Fazio is one of the courses at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. George and Tom Fazio designed it as The Haig, a tribute to Walter Hagen, and it opened in 1980 as the resort's first 18-hole course. Tom Fazio II later renovated it and kept the original routing. It plays as a par 72 at 6,977 yards from the back tees. The resort calls the par-5 4th one of the hardest holes on the property.

The Match Course at PGA National Resort is an Andy Staples design built exclusively for match play, featuring no tee markers, gambling half-par holes, and assertive putting surfaces that reference famous Raynor/Macdonald templates including the Knoll, Biarritz, Redan, and Punchbowl. Built over the top of the resort's former Squire Course, The Match offers a strategic, wit-based counterpoint to the power-demanding Champion Course next door.
