Set in the rolling Palouse hills at roughly 2,650 feet of elevation, the par-72 course measures 6,602 yards from the back tees and features significant elevation changes and terraced fairways. Architect Francis L. James designed the original nine-hole layout, documented in a 1936 construction report, with the course later expanded to 18 holes. Bryden Canyon Golf Course
Lewiston, ID · 25 mi away
Bryden Canyon Golf Course is a public course in Lewiston, Idaho, built in 1974 and offering views over the Lewis-Clark Valley. The layout mixes birdie chances with risk of trouble on wayward shots, and its location and climate make it a popular winter golf destination in the region. Owned by the City of Lewiston, the course is open to the public with tee times booked by phone, and its pro shop and bar and grill follow seasonal hours that shift through the year. It hosts tournaments, leagues, corporate outings, and other events.
Quail Ridge Golf Course
Clarkston, WA · 25 mi away
Quail Ridge Golf Course is located just south of Clarkston, Washington, in the lower Snake River canyon area near the Idaho border. The course began as a nine-hole layout called Swallows Nest before being expanded to eighteen holes and renamed in the late 1980s under previous owner Don Poe. The course was designed by Randy DuFord, and the Carlson and McCarthy families, who are related, have owned and operated it since purchasing it from Poe in 2001. Set on moderately rolling terrain, it features elevated greens reached by approach shots that often play longer than the yardage suggests. Quail Ridge is a public facility with a restaurant, golf shop, driving range, practice area and cart rentals, and it is known locally for river-valley views and affordable rates.
