Circling Raven Golf Club

Gene Bates design winding through wetlands and Palouse grasses at Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort

About this course

Circling Raven in Worley, Idaho, opened in 2003 and was designed by Gene Bates for the Coeur d'Alene Tribe. The course occupies about 620 acres of Palouse hillside, wetland and pine forest next to the tribe's casino resort.

With that much land for 18 holes, the corridors are wide and the holes are separated from one another. The golf moves between open, wind-exposed high ground and tighter tree-lined sections, and wetlands come into play on several holes as hazards rather than decorative water.

It plays as a par 72 at over 7,100 yards and is open to public play, with stay-and-play packages through the resort.
