About this course
Oak Marsh is one of the golf courses at Omni Amelia Island Resort in Fernandina Beach, Florida, built along salt marsh creeks and beneath heritage oaks on the barrier island. It was designed by Pete Dye and opened in 1972, shortly after Dye's Harbour Town Golf Links in South Carolina.
The course is known for tight fairways and small greens typical of Dye's early work, and it underwent a $7.4 million renovation led by architect Beau Welling that reopened in 2025, which rebuilt the greens and bunkers while preserving Dye's original strategy. It plays to a par of 72 across 18 holes, measuring 6,471 yards.
Oak Marsh is reserved for registered resort guests and golf club members rather than the general public, with tee times arranged through the resort's golf shop.

Golf Club At North Hampton
Fernandina Beach, FL · 7.1 mi away
The Golf Club at North Hampton is an 18-hole course in Fernandina Beach, Florida, near Amelia Island. It was designed by Arnold Palmer, working with longtime collaborator Ed Seay, and is built through coastal dunes and wooded terrain typical of the area. The layout crosses more than 40 feet of elevation change and includes about ten spring-fed lakes lined with coquina boulders, along with native grasses framing the fairways. Greens are large and undulating, and several holes bring water into play off the tee or on approach shots. The course plays over 7,100 yards from the back tees, with multiple forward tee options for different skill levels. It operates as part of a golf and residential community and is open for public play, with a clubhouse, dining, and event facilities on site.

TPC Sawgrass - Stadium Course
Ponte Vedra Beach, FL · 25 mi away
The Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, opened in 1980 as the first course Pete Dye built specifically for spectators. Deane Beman, then the PGA Tour commissioner, wanted a permanent home for the Tour's championship with room for crowds, and Dye shaped mounding around the holes to create natural viewing areas. That idea became the model for stadium golf everywhere. The par-3 17th is the best-known hole in American golf: a short shot to an island green surrounded by water, with a small pot bunker on the right and no bailout. The 18th that follows plays along water down the entire left side. Neither hole is long, and both have decided tournaments. The course was reworked by Dye in 2006 and renovated again in 2017, when the greens were rebuilt and drainage improved. It hosts the Players Championship each year, and the general public can book tee times outside tournament weeks.
