Hale's Location Golf Course sits in the White Mountains near North Conway, New Hampshire, in the small township of Hale's Location, framed by White Horse Ledge and Cathedral Ledge. The course and the adjoining White Mountain Hotel both opened in 1990, developed by owner Gary Sullivan. Designed by architect Albert Zikorus, the nine-hole layout plays to a par of 70 at about 5,820 yards, with narrow, tree-lined fairways and consistent mountain views from every hole. Waterville Valley Golf Club
Waterville Valley, NH · 20 mi away
Waterville Valley Golf Club, established in 1898 by summer residents of the New Hampshire resort town, is one of the oldest golf courses in the state. Set against the backdrop of 4,000-foot White Mountain peaks, the nine-hole course underwent a major renovation in 2005 that redesigned six holes while preserving its historic character. The layout plays to a par of 31 with four par-4 holes and five par-3s. It remains a public, resort-affiliated course with rolling fairways that lead from the valley floor into the surrounding hills.

Bridgton Highlands Country Club is located on Highland Ridge in Bridgton, Maine, in the state's Lakes Region. The original nine holes were designed by A.W. Tillinghast in 1925-26, his only design in Maine, with fieldwork carried out by Ralph Martin Barton. Geoffrey Cornish and Brian Silva replaced two holes in the 1980s, and the course was expanded to 18 holes in the 1990s using a design by then co-owner Fred Ryan. The semi-private course is open to the public and offers four sets of tees along with views of Pleasant Mountain and Shawnee Peak. A tennis program with four courts operates alongside the golf facility.
