About this course
SouthCreek is the shortest of the three Arnold Palmer-designed courses at Myrtle Beach National, opened in 1975. The par-72 layout measures just over 6,400 yards and winds through hardwood forest and Lowcountry wetlands, with dogleg fairways, expansive waste bunkers and slick MiniVerde greens that put the emphasis on accurate approach shots rather than length off the tee. Golf Digest awarded it four stars in its Places to Play guide.

Myrtle Beach National (West)
Myrtle Beach, SC · 0.0 mi away
The West Course is the middle of the three Arnold Palmer designs at Myrtle Beach National, opened in 1974, a year after King's North and a year before SouthCreek. The par-72 layout winds through a forest of stately pines with numerous doglegs, fairway bunkers and natural hazards, and it plays as a genuine test from the back tees while staying friendly from the regular tees. Palmer returned in 1996 to give the West a facelift along with its sister courses, and the greens were converted to MiniVerde in 2011.

Myrtle Beach National (King's North)
Myrtle Beach, SC · 0.0 mi away
King's North opened in 1973 as the first of three Arnold Palmer courses at Myrtle Beach National. It stretches to roughly 7,000 yards at a par of 72 and is known for large-scale earthwork, including an island-green par 3 set in sand and a split-fairway par 5 that forces a decision from the tee. Bold bunkering and width reflect Palmer's resort design work of the era. An 18-hole renovation led by Brandon Johnson Golf Course Design has reworked the layout, with the back nine reopening in early 2026. It is the headline course of the three-course Myrtle Beach National complex.
Wild Wing Plantation
Conway, SC · 1.0 mi away
Wild Wing Plantation in Conway is a 27-hole facility minutes from downtown Myrtle Beach, built around the 18-hole Avocet course and the nine-hole Hummingbird. Avocet is credited to architect Jeff Brauer and three-time major champion Larry Nelson, and it leans on variety rather than length: drivable par 4s, double greens and split fairways, with undulating putting surfaces and surrounding swales that put a premium on the short game. The drivable par-4 14th gives players of any ability a look at eagle. Wild Wing is part of the Founders Collection of Myrtle Beach courses and is open to public play.
