Murphy Creek Golf Course, home of "the Homestead at Murphy Creek," is a city-owned course on the eastern edge of Aurora, Colorado. Its prairie-links setting includes wide fairways, native rough and farm-themed buildings, including an old barn and vintage equipment placed around the grounds.
The course was designed by Kenneth Kavanaugh and opened around 2000, combining modern strategic design, large bunkers and expansive greens with a rustic, rural atmosphere. It hosted the 2008 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship.
