About this course

Mount Ogden Golf Course sits on the eastern hills above Ogden, Utah, cut into the side of Mount Ogden within the Wasatch Range. Construction began in 1983 and the course opened for play in September 1984, offering views of the Ogden Valley and Great Salt Lake to the west.

Designed by William Neff and Billy Casper, the 18-hole, par-72 layout plays through oak brush with narrow landing areas, pronounced elevation changes and doglegs that reward local course knowledge. Cart use is standard because of the steep terrain, and greens tend to break away from the mountain.

Operated by the City of Ogden, the course is open to public play, weather permitting, and is regarded locally as one of the more scenic and demanding municipal courses along the Wasatch Front.
