About this course

Mingo Bottom Golf Club is a public course along the Little Kanawha River in Elizabeth, West Virginia, the seat of sparsely populated Wirt County. The course follows the river's bottomland terrain, with holes shifting direction along its bends.

The club was designed by Chuck Furbee and opened in 1996. It is owned by a group of local women, including Carolyn King, Sandy Shears and Ann Boyce, who have run the course together for years.

The 18-hole layout plays to a par of 72 and stretches to about 6,468 yards from its longest tees, with five tee options for a range of abilities. The course has bentgrass greens and bluegrass fairways, and is open to the public with a pro shop on site.
