About this course
Madera Municipal Golf Course is owned by the City of Madera, California, and sits at the edge of town amid vineyards and almond and pomegranate orchards in the San Joaquin Valley. Designed by architect Robert Dean Putnam, the course opened in June 1991 as an 18-hole, par-72 layout and is managed today by Sierra Golf Management. It is positioned just west of Highway 99 and is known locally for well-conditioned greens relative to its modest green fees. The course includes a pro shop with equipment and apparel, a clubhouse restaurant, and PGA teaching professionals offering lessons for beginners and juniors. As a municipal facility, it is open to the public year-round.
