Kissing Tree Golf Club

San Marcos, TX — Kissing Tree Golf Club, designed by local Texan Gary Stephenson, opened in 2018 and is nestled perfectly into the scenic Texas Hill Country’s rolling terrain. Stephenson’s design philosophy, inspired by Byron Nelson, emphasizes bringing golf back to the ground, allowing players to use their imagination and play to their strengths. With the exception of hole 6, golfers will find angles of play to get to the green on the ground, with closely mowed run-off areas encouraging a variety of shots. The course measures just over 6,500 yards from the back tees and is Audubon-certified, signifying its commitment to preserving the natural landscape and wildlife habitat. The shortest hole, the 130-yard par 3, hole 6, is a challenging play over a dry creek bed to a green protected by a wrap-around sand bunker. The second shot on hole 14 is also noted for its beauty and challenge. Views from holes 4 and 5, and the back nine from hole 12 tee and 14th fairway, offer spectacular vistas of the Hill Country.
