Golf Club At Cumberland Lake
Pinson, AL · 22 mi away
The Golf Club at Cumberland Lake is a public course near Pinson, Alabama, north of Birmingham. It was designed in 1968 by architect Bill Amick, and in 1996 local architect Jeff Pate renovated the layout by removing trees and leveling fairways. The par 72 course plays between about 5,000 yards from the forward tees and 6,900 yards from the back tees, over terrain with a mix of flat and hilly sections. An 85 acre lake comes into play on several holes, including the par 3 15th and the par 4 18th, and Bermuda grass covers the fairways and greens throughout. More than 20 bunkers add to the challenge. The facility includes a driving range that lets golfers hit shots into the lake for practice. Current ownership, in place since 2016, has worked steadily to restore conditioning after a period of decline.
