Hidden Valley Country Club is a public course in Gaston, about 15 miles from downtown Columbia. Designed by Russell Breeden and opened in 1963, the par-72 layout plays to about 6,800 yards over rolling terrain, with a tight, shot-maker's front nine and a more open back nine. The finish is one of the best in the Midlands: the risk-reward par-5 16th, a downhill par-3 17th with a long carry, and the pond-guarded par-4 18th.
