About this course
The Ocean Course at Half Moon Bay Golf Links, designed by Arthur Hills, opened in 1997 on the San Mateo County coastline south of San Francisco. It plays as a links-style layout with firm, wide fairways, native grasses, bunkers and undulating greens shaped by ocean winds and coastal fog. From the back tees it plays 6,854 yards to a par of 72, with a course rating of 72.5 and a slope of 132. The closing stretch runs along coastal cliffs, including a par-3 17th styled after Pebble Beach's 7th and a risk-reward par-5 18th along the Pacific.

Half Moon Bay Golf Links (Old)
Half Moon Bay, CA · 1.7 mi away
The Old Course at Half Moon Bay Golf Links is located along the Pacific coastline roughly 30 miles south of San Francisco, California, winding through meadows and stands of Monterey cypress before reaching the coast. Arnold Palmer designed the course with Francis Duane, and it opened in 1973 as one of Palmer's earliest architecture efforts and one of Duane's last full projects before illness limited his travel. The parkland-style layout features dog-legs and multiple water hazards, closing with a widely photographed par-4 18th that runs along the rocky shoreline. The course operates as part of a resort property near the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay, open to resort guests and the public, and has hosted U.S. Open local qualifying rounds.
Crystal Springs Golf Course
Burlingame, CA · 7.8 mi away
Crystal Springs Golf Course is located near the Crystal Springs Reservoir in Hillsborough, adjacent to Burlingame, California, on the San Francisco Peninsula. The course was designed in 1924 by British architect William Herbert Fowler, whose work emphasized routing that follows natural terrain, and it has seen only modest changes since. The par-72 layout runs 6,628 yards from the back tees with a slope rating of 124, featuring well-bunkered greens and rolling hillsides that slope down toward the reservoir. It is a public course with practice facilities, and weekday and weekend rates are posted online along with cart fees. Tee times can be booked directly through the course.
Sharp Park Golf Course
Pacifica, CA · 12 mi away
Sharp Park Golf Course is a public seaside course in Pacifica, California, about ten miles south of San Francisco, operated by the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department. It opened in the early 1930s and was designed largely by architect Alister MacKenzie, with four inland holes later added by Jack Fleming after coastal erosion claimed part of the original routing. The course plays to a par of 72 and measures roughly 6,300 to 6,500 yards depending on the tee set, running along the coastline and around Laguna Salada, a lake in play on several holes. Its Spanish hacienda-style clubhouse, designed by Willis Polk's office, still stands from the original construction. Sharp Park is walkable and open to the public year round, with standard and resident green-fee tiers, and remains one of the few MacKenzie-designed municipal courses open to public golfers in the country.
