About this course
Grapevine Golf Course is a City of Grapevine municipal facility near Lake Grapevine in North Texas, close to Dallas-Fort Worth. The original 18 holes, now known as the Pecan and Mockingbird nines, were designed by Byron Nelson and Joe Finger and opened in 1979.
A third nine, the Bluebonnet, was added in 1999 by PGA Tour professional D.A. Weibring's design firm, Golf Resources, bringing the facility to 27 holes with added elevation change and faster greens. The original nines have since been renovated with modern Tif-Eagle greens.
The course is public and heavily played, hosting more than 65,000 rounds a year, with water hazards, tree-lined fairways and multiple tee options serving golfers of varied ability.

Cowboys Golf Club
Grapevine, TX · 1.7 mi away
Cowboys Golf Club sits in Grapevine, Texas, and is billed as the world's only golf course created in partnership with an NFL franchise, the Dallas Cowboys. The clubhouse displays the team's Super Bowl trophies, and markers along the course note moments from franchise history. Architect Jeff Brauer designed the original 18-hole layout, which opened in June 2001 on rolling, wooded terrain northwest of Dallas. Ownership passed through several companies over the years before Arcis Golf carried out a multi-million-dollar renovation, working with architect Beau Welling to rebuild tees, greens and bunkers. The public course plays to a par of 72 across 18 holes, with a practice facility that includes an 18-hole putting course and hitting turf sourced from the Cowboys' home stadium. It continues to host corporate outings and charity tournaments alongside daily public play.
Bridlewood Golf Club
Flower Mound, TX · 5.3 mi away
Bridlewood Golf Club is a public course in Flower Mound, Texas, built as the centerpiece of an 800-acre master-planned community and opened in 1997. It was designed by PGA Tour player D.A. Weibring together with Golf Resources Inc., with Maury Miller serving as project architect. The par-72 layout stretches to 7,111 yards and includes 25 acres of lakes, mature hardwoods and the winding Timber Creek, which comes into play mainly on the back nine. The front nine has a more open, links-style character with rolling terrain, grass swales and mounding, while the back nine tightens through trees before finishing at a hole where Timber Creek, water and mature oaks combine near the green. Bridlewood has changed ownership several times, most recently as part of a 2025 sale-leaseback of several Dallas-Fort Worth courses, and continues to operate as a daily-fee public facility offering rounds, tournaments and dining in its clubhouse.
Indian Creek Golf Course
Carrollton, TX · 7.1 mi away
Indian Creek Golf Club is the City of Carrollton municipal facility with 36 holes, the Creek and Lakes courses, set along the Indian Creek and Trinity River corridors. Both layouts play to about 6,700 yards through mature trees with water frequently in play, and the facility includes a large practice range. It is one of the busier and better-conditioned municipal operations in the Dallas area.
