Emerald Isle Golf Course is an 18-hole executive course in Oceanside, California, playing par 55 over about 2,452 yards. The site started as the 9-hole Oceana Golf Course, built by the Oceana Land Company and opened in 1966 with a ribbon cutting led by Jack Benny; it reopened as the current 18-hole layout in 1986. The ground is flat and easy to walk, and the course is aimed at beginners, casual players and the surrounding 55-plus community, with an all-grass driving range and a grill on site. It runs an SCGA-affiliated club. The course states on its own site that it is dog friendly, and dogs may walk the holes with you or ride along in the cart.
