About this course
Desert Pines Golf Club is a public course east of downtown Las Vegas, built on the former Nature Park site off Bonanza Road. Golf course builder Billy Walters developed the course with architect Perry Dye, importing thousands of mature pine trees and using imported white sand to give the layout a Carolina sandhills look uncommon in the Las Vegas desert. The course opened in 1996 and sits at one of the lowest elevations of any course in the city, which helps shield it from strong winds. Water comes into play on roughly half the holes, and more than 60 bunkers, some framed with railroad ties in Pete Dye's signature style, protect the bentgrass greens. The current layout plays to a par of 71 over about 6,222 yards.

Las Vegas, NV · 3.4 mi away
Las Vegas National Golf Club dates to 1961 and hosted the Rat Pack and the LPGA Tour in its heyday. The 18-hole layout plays over classic parkland terrain near the Strip, a historic Las Vegas course open to the public.
North Las Vegas
North Las Vegas, NV · 3.5 mi away
North Las Vegas Golf Course is a 9 hole, par 3 municipal course owned by the City of North Las Vegas, located at 324 East Brooks Avenue. Architect Jack Walpole designed the course, which opened in the early 1970s and was the first lighted golf course in Nevada, allowing evening play during summer. The layout measures roughly 1,100 yards with small greens that challenge accomplished players despite the short distances involved. Rolling terrain and mature trees give golfers views across the Las Vegas Valley. The course is well suited to beginners and seniors because of its length and lack of artificial hazards. A small pro shop and coffee shop operate out of the clubhouse. The city also runs an adjoining 18 hole disc golf course on the same property, and both facilities remain open to the public year round.
Sunrise Vista Golf Course

The course, sometimes listed under its Falcon/Eagle nines, plays to a par of 72 at roughly 7,050 yards from the back tees. The course includes a four-hole par-3 layout in addition to its two nine-hole championship sides, and it sits beneath the flight path of Nellis-based aircraft. A restaurant, the Champion's Grille, and a banquet room serving up to 120 guests are on site. Access is oriented toward military members, Department of Defense personnel and their guests, with tiered green fees by rank and civilian rates also offered.
