About this course
Chequamegon Bay Golf Club is a public course in Ashland, Wisconsin, about a mile from the shore of Chequamegon Bay on Lake Superior.
The original nine holes were built in 1925 and laid out by Scottish golf professional Sandy Campbell in a links style over former farmland; the club was expanded to a full 18-hole championship course in the mid-1990s. The course runs through rolling terrain with views of the bay and surrounding Northwoods forest.
Today it operates as a public facility with a pro shop, driving range, putting green and on-site bar and grill, and it plays from four sets of tees up to 6,539 yards from the back.
