About this course

Apostle Highlands Golf Course sits about 500 feet above the town of Bayfield, Wisconsin, on the Bayfield Peninsula overlooking Lake Superior's Chequamegon Bay and the Apostle Islands. It opened as a nine-hole course in 1991, designed by Bill Korpela, and was expanded to a full 18 holes in 1996, making it a public, par-72 layout of 6,332 yards from the back tees. Lake Superior is visible from 13 of the holes, and the course crosses wooded, contoured terrain with water in play on eight holes. A climate-controlled clubhouse, deck seating, driving range, and putting green support daily play, which is open to the public during the golf season.
