About this course

Cacapon Resort State Park Golf Course is part of the West Virginia state park system, set among the eastern foothills of Cacapon Mountain near Berkeley Springs.

The 18-hole, par-72 course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and opened for play in 1974, laid out around three lakes and several small streams in a wooded valley. Narrow, contoured fairways lined with mature hardwoods lead to small, well-defended greens.

The course is part of the Cacapon Resort lodge property and plays to about 7,221 yards from the back tees, with practical resort amenities including a lodge, cabins and a restaurant on the grounds.
