About this course
The Monument is one of two eighteen-hole courses at Boyne Mountain Resort in Boyne Falls, Michigan, in the northern part of the state. The course dates to 1970, when William Newcomb produced the original design, and individual holes are dedicated to golf figures such as Donald Ross and Robert Trent Jones.
The layout asks for a complete game, combining demanding fairways with large, undulating greens that put a premium on approach shots and putting. Six sets of tees stretch from under 5,000 yards to just under 7,000 yards from the back markers.
The Monument is bookable by resort guests and outside visitors alike through Boyne Golf, and it operates alongside the resort's other course, the Alpine. A practice area with a full driving range and multiple short game zones sits near the golf shop.
